David is an award winning, creative editor with 4 features to his name, theatrical and broadcast credits, and over 20 year’s experience across fiction, documentary, promo, corporate and news content.
He is proficient in Avid, Premiere and Resolve.
David’s first feature was the documentary, ‘Rebel Of The Keys’ (2016) which screened at festivals and the 45 minute TV edit was also broadcast on Austrian channel ORF. He subsequently edited the fiction feature, ‘Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins’ (2021), which had a UK wide theatrical release reaching top 10 in the box office and also reaching No. 4 on Amazon among all rentals. David then went on to edit ’Rise Of the Footsoldier: Vengeance’ (2023), which received a 5 week exclusively theatrical release across major cinema chains in the UK including Odeon, Cineworld, Vue and Showcase, and was No.1 British Independent Film on UK and Ireland weekend box office. David recently edited ‘Rise Of The Footsoldier: Retribution’, scheduled for theatrical and streaming release in early 2026.
David’s own short film, ‘The Dreamsy’ (2018) won the ‘London Sci-Fi 48hr Film Challenge’ and ‘Fault Lines’ was overall winner of ‘That Film Festival’ (2019) leading to a feature script development deal.
The short Sci-Fi ‘End Point’ (2019) won 22 awards alongside 2 nominations for best editing, and the short film, ‘Anonymous’ (2025), backed by Amazon, is now available to watch on Amazon Prime.
Alongside long-form, David demonstrates equal dexterity in short-form with extensive experience cutting film trailers, short docs, promos, news and commercial content.
